🧑🎨 Step right up! The 2027 sticker contest is open
You know you want this. Break out your imagination and creativity and put your art on people’s stuff. Win the One Free Ticket (OFT) to FreezerBurn. Whimsymaximalist Mayhem is our theme and what a wide-open-to-interpretation theme it is. C’mon, show us your whimsy! Submit here.
Art and effigy proposals 🎨🔥
Y’all… just a hair over two weeks left. That is not a lot of time! Pressure… under pressure! Get your thinking and designing and event planning and chef hats on, because grants include not only your art projects but your Center Camp events and grants for feeding lots of people too!
We do have a standing duck effigy from last cycle. We encourage proposals which incorporate this existing structure.
👷 Work Weekend #1: Fri, Nov 6 to Sun, Nov 8
The land we camp on has this pesky habit of growing things while we’re not looking. Prickly, woody, brushy inconvenient things all pop up right there in our campsites and on our grounds. The nerve! Come help some other hardy volunteers get it back under control. Where: Valkyrie Ranch, Paige, TX. Find out more and sign up at: Work Weekend Registration
🥶 Hypothermia: Fri, Dec 4 to Sun, Dec 6
Hypothermia is the annual training event for FreezerBurn. It’s your opportunity to level up your Burner skills and to get more involved with the event. Got a skill you want to teach? Have you always wondered about the Sanctuary secret handshake? That’s what the weekend is all about. It takes place at the Valkyrie Ranch. Wally’s Cowboy Kitchen will be there cooking, and if you know, you know. If you don’t know, come find out how good that is. Reserve the weekend on your calendar now and get signed up!
🙋 Volunteers
Volunteers are the beating heart of FreezerBurn. This gathering is put on by us, for us. Without a whole lot of us volunteering, it just can’t happen. Whether you want to be front and center, behind the scenes, work with your hands, walk on your feet, use your ears and empathy, or have a particular skill: FreezerBurn has a place and need for you. Head over to see what’s available and sign up now!
